Liam's First Easter

I am just now getting the time to try to upload these images again.

When blogger starts working again I will post his pictures! Arghhhhh!

Happy Easter!

Here are the pictures of the kids from Easter. I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating our Risen Lord! As you can tell, Page wasn't in much of a mood for pictures until Emma got her to laugh. Then Page didn't want to play anymore and Emma got mad. So much drama at such a young age. What are we going to do in a few years?! We are soooooo busy working on the house I haven't had much time to blog or blog hop, sorry! I will catch up as soon as I can.

Catching Up

Well, I have a little time to catch up since I am officially injured. I bent down to pick up Liam on Monday night and when I went to stand up my knee rebelled. I saw stars it hurt so bad. After a full night of rest, ice, compression and elevation I still couldn't bend or turn my knee. I went in to the dr. Tuesday morning and was told that my patella tendon was not in the right place. No wonder it hurt so much! I got a cortisone shot for the swelling, a knee brace and some pain meds. I had an MRI scheduled today, but I have canceled it. Things are looking and feeling much better today. I can walk and bend my knee with the brace on, although I still feel it catch when I try to turn too quickly. If it is not completely better in a week or two I will schedule the MRI again. I finally had a chance to catch up on every one's blogs with the down time I have had for the past two days. Sorry for the lack in posts and comments on all of your blogs. Life just gets busier and crazier around here every day.
Liam's check up was very exciting. He has made it to the charts again! He is 10% for weight and 25% for height. I almost started clapping I was so happy. We have worked so hard to get him to a normal weight and it finally feels like it is paying off. If only he would stop eating during the night I could really rejoice! lol! They checked his iron while we were there because anemia is very common in babies on goat's milk. he is on the low end of normal, so that was good news too. I can't get him to take the iron supplements and he had an allergic reaction to the molasses, so I was relieved to hear that he was fine.
Our house is coming together slowly but surely. I should have taken my mom's advice and just finished one room at a time, but I didn't. My entire house is under construction and I am going to loose it soon if I don't get some of it under control. I hope to have everything but the master bath finished by the end of this month. If the kids and I don't get sick again and my knee doesn't act up I think I can do it.

Happy 9 Months, Liam

It has been a rough couple of weeks with everyone in the house getting sick and then sick again! Liam has another ear infection and both girls are sick too. I am finally getting better, thank the Lord! Liam turns 9 months today, St. Patrick's Day, and we celebrated with green sprinkle donuts this morning. The girls loved it and Liam wanted those donuts more than anything. Poor guy got banana fruit puffs instead. He is now 17 lbs. 8 oz. and we go in tomorrow for the official weight and height check and to see if he has made it back on the charts. I would be shocked if he weren't on them yet. He eats every 90 minutes during the day and still wakes twice a night to eat. He is basically an eating machine now! He crawls, properly now, everywhere and pulls up to standing on anything standing still. He even cruises around slowly. I don't think it will be too much longer before he is walking. Page was walking full time at 8.5 months and Emma at 10 months. We will see what he does.
We had a visit from my parents and Will's dad has been here for 5 days trying to get our bathroom back in working order. We are still trying to meet our goal of listing the house in April and are working every night to get that done. I will post pictures again when I have some more time.

Smart Food

This story is just too funny not to share. We have a rule in our house that there is no snacking between meals unless you eat everything from the previous meal. This morning Page did not finish her breakfast. We told her that she was not going to be able to get a donut at church and she said that was fine. When we got home from church she told her daddy that they had really smart food at church. The candy and donuts that her teacher gave her were so smart that they made her forget that she couldn't have them until after she had already eaten them. Then the thoughts came back in her head that she wasn't supposed to have them. How funny is that?! Smart food and smart girl!

On a side note, things have been not so great for Liam this week. His antibiotics did not work to clear up the ear infection. In fact it got worse and the other one got infected too. He also developed an eye infection and sinus infection. He was unable to breathe therefore, unable to eat. He lost one of his precious pounds in a matter of 5 days. He was dehydrated and crying almost continuously for several days in a row. There was just no helping him feel better. Finally on Friday the doctor gave him a shot and threatened hospitalization if he didn't get some fluids in him. The shot did help and he started drinking a little bit Friday night. We went back in to the pedi's office on Saturday and his ears started looking better. So we are holding off with the hopes that he will continue to get better and hydrated again. He is still having a hard time breathing, but at least the pain has subsided and he, and we, are getting some sleep. He won't eat anything solid yet but he is drinking from his bottles again. The pedi seems to think that with all of the remodeling going on he had an allergy attack from the dust and needs to be put on Zyrtec every day. I sure hope this helps my little man and we can start packing on the pounds again.
