I'm (now hold up four fingers on your hand)...for real

We got back a few days ago and I'm still not caught up on all that has happened in the blogosphere yet. Heck, I can hardly keep up when I'm home!

Here are some highlights from our trip. I'll probably post all the pictures and funny stories over the next few days.

Page has a theme these days. If the title of the post doesn't say it all, I don't know what to put. Every morning on our trip she would wake up and ask, "Am I four yet?" We would explain "Three more days...two more days...one more day" she would ask, "After this naptime?" Then, when the big day came, it took her a little while to wake up, but, once she did, she told everyone she came into contact with, four fingers raised proudly in the air, "I'm four", followed by a short pause. Then, in a high pitched squeal, "For real". Now everything Emma does is either "Too dangerous, too hard or too heavy...", get this, "because you're not four Emma."

Check out Page's four year picture. It came out great! She looks so grown up. Our friend Melody from church makes tutu's and she did this one for Page.

While at Will's mom's house we got sushi from a Chinese buffet one night. Page loves sushi and will stop eating just about anything to get a few pieces. Only, instead of calling it sushi, she calls it "sloo-she." She has called it slushi for months now. We forget to post about it but it's so funny.

Thanks to our family for helping us make it there and put up with our kids who make farm roosters look like slackers!

That reminds me. One of the first nights in Baton Rouge with Will's parents, his dad had to get up super-early (like 2am) to try and get everything done so he could spend time with the kids. Page and Emma had passed out in their bed. Shortly after he left Page woke up looking for him. She was up for the day. She proceeded to roam around the house from room to room waking people up to see who would get up with her.

Infections

Infections, that is the answer to the pain. Page has a horrible double ear infection. sinus infection and post nasal drip. How could I not know all of that was going on? She has not had fever or shown any indication of pain until last night. I guess she has a high threshold for pain! Poor baby. I feel even worse for her having to get on a plane tomorrow with a double ear infection. She is not going to like that.

Anyway, this will be my last post for about 2 weeks because we are leaving bright and early in the morning to a flight to New Orleans and will be visiting friends and family until the end of the month. Page will be turning 4 while on our trip, i can hardly believe it! She loves to tell people that she has a birthday with Jesus. So Merry Christmas to you all and remember that JESUS is the reason for the season!

ER

I am typing this as Will sits in the ER with Page. She woke up screaming and crying. It took quite a long time for us to get that her cheek bone and jaw on her left side were hurting. It is so hard to tell at this age what is drama and what is real, but she kept clutching her left side and telling us it hurt. Upon examination she screamed her head off the whole time so we stopped and called the ER. They suggested bringing her in since she had trauma to it. (She collided with another child at Mother's Day Out this morning.)

As far as Liam's appointment this morning. Not great news. He gained 5 ounces in 2 weeks. Our goal is 7 ounces every 2 weeks. Since he has been sick the last few days we are thinking that he would have made the weigh had he not been sick. We are also scheduling an appointment with an allergist to have some testing done. He has eczema on the back of his head and red bumps all over his body. I have taken out eggs, corn, soy, dairy, chocolate, coffee, tea and citrus from my diet. I am so ready to stop nursing but this stinker just won't take anything else! We go back in 2 weeks to check his weight AGAIN.

Happy 6 Months, Liam

Happy 6 months, Liam! It has been half a year already. We go to the doctor tomorrow to get a weight check again and get his shots. I will update then with all of the information.

When Mom's Away ...

The kids will play. Will let the girls paint while I was out grocery shopping Saturday morning. I returned to the girls in the bath tub and paint everywhere!

Roses In December

My poor rose bush is so confused by the crazy weather that it keeps producing roses!

So Much To Say

Wow! I have so much good news to share. First, this is our Christmas picture. We actually got all three kids to stay in the same position and no one was crying. What a feat!

Second, Liam saw the GI Dr. on Tuesday and had gained 8 ounces in 14 days so we did not have to do the feeding tube. Hooray!!! It is still a nightmare trying to get enough food in him to accomplish this, but at least it is working and we don't have to go to extreme measures to get weight on him.

Third, Will got a new job! We are so excited about this new opportunity. It is in Frisco, a little north of Dallas.

Lastly, we are going home for Christmas! Will's last day at his current job is Dec. 14 and he doesn't start his new job until Jan. 2 so we are able to spend the holidays with family this year. I am so excited.
